Frequently asked questions
Do I need experience on ferries?
No. We regularly place candidates without sea experience — the operators we work with accept beginners for OS and, in some cases, AB positions. What matters is valid documents and readiness to work.
Which certificates do I need?
STCW basic safety training plus Crowd & Crisis Management (passenger ship certificates). If something is missing or expired, tell us — we will explain how and where to obtain it.
Do you charge seafarers for employment?
No. Our services are free for candidates — the crewing fee is paid by the shipowner, as required by the MLC 2006 convention.
Why only Ukrainians who are currently abroad?
The vacancies we handle require a candidate who can travel to the vessel in Western Europe without delays. If you are already abroad, joining is much faster.
How long does it take to get on board?
With complete documents — usually a few weeks: document check, interview with the operator, contract, travel. Positions start ASAP, so the sooner you write, the sooner you sail.
